Wake County holds 6th annual Student Sportsmedicine Olympics
On Saturday, April 18, 2009, several Wake County high school sportsmedicine student assistants gathered for a time of learning and showing off their skills. Participating schools were Athens Drive, Apex, Cary, Enloe, Leesville, and Millbrook. The workshop included lectures/labs on casting, foam roller implementation, and athletic training on the collegiate level. The students also had a friendly competition involving written tests and a skills relay. This year's winner was Millbrook High School. The students had a lot of fun getting to know people from other high schools as well as being involved in the hands on lab sessions.
