Hall of Fame inductees are recognized at the NCATA Annual Meeting and honored in the permanent Hall of Fame display located in the George M. Holmes Convocation Center at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. No more than five inductions will be made in any single year.

Nomination criteria:
- Nominee must be a current or retired NATA certified or North Carolina licensed member of the NCATA.
- Nominee must have been a practicing athletic trainer for a minimum of 20 years and a member of the NCATA for a minimum of 15 years.
- Must be sponsored by a voting member of the NCATA.
