Young Professional of the Year Award

The YP of the Year Award recognizes high-quality young professionals in the NCATA who have impacted the profession, community, and NCATA in the past year. A Young Professional is an athletic trainer within 0-12 years of certification.

Criteria:

Must hold current BOC certification, NCBATE license and NPI #

Must be classified as young professional in years of experience (within 0-12 years of certification)

Must be current NCATA/MAATA/NATA member in good standing
-
Can be nominated by any member of the NCATA

No self-nominations
Selection:

Will be made by the Honors and Awards Representative of the NCATA

Recipients will be announced at the Annual Meeting

Hannah McGowan, MS, LAT, ATC
Hannah McGowan serves as the athletic trainer at Perquimans County High School, where she is known for her compassionate care, strong clinical skills, and dedication to the health and safety of student-athletes. Early in her career, Hannah has already demonstrated a commitment to advancing the athletic training profession through her involvement with the NCATA Young Professionals Committee, mentorship of athletic training students, and ongoing professional development. Her leadership, professionalism, and passion for athlete well-being make her a deserving recipient of the NCATA Young Professional of the Year Award.
